EOS - 60 years of successful history in WesterwaldDue to our 23 years of experience, we managed to prove the comfort of usage, efficiency, relatively low cost of usage, durability and most of all performance and reliability of the sauna heaters of certain producers. In terms of reliability, scale of the offer and adjustment of the products to the Polish conditions (water quality, for instance), it turned out the best company is German EOS- WERKE . A wide variety of the heaters were divided into 3 class categories: In addition, with respect to the type of function, the heaters can be divided into: single-function heaters for dry saunas, where hot stones are sprinkled with water (usually with an addition of essential oils) in order to temporarily achieve higher moisture. dual-purposeheaters with an evaporator (e.g. Bi-O series), which can produce dry, wet or steam air in the chamber. Putting herbs in special bowls allows to take inhalation. We also divided the heaters into domestic- and public-use, so that the choice would be simpler. How to select proper power of the heater for the sauna’s ? One can assume that each 1 – 1.2 m3 of the sauna’s capacity should be powered by 1 kW. If the sauna has a window or any other possibility for heat to escape, please increase the power. For each heater we describe its power, matching external control units and the dimensions of the chamber recommended by the producer. What heater should be used in Finnish sauna? In Finnish saunas the electric heaters are most comfortable to use. The control unit will set the programmed temperature and moisture. It will also dry the chamber after the work of the dual-purpose Bi-O heater is done. While using a heater working on wood (e.g. in garden saunas) please remember to supply the heater with wood (regularly); the temperature in the such a sauna will never be stable. Using gas or coal stoves is ABSURD and really DANGEROUS. Such options are sometimes presented in pseudo-professional press releases. What is the difference between the heater for wet, dry or steam saunas? Many people believe that saunas are divided into: Dry saunas, where the temperature is circa 100°C, while the moisture is about 10% Wet saunas, where the temperature is circa 70-90°C, while the moisture, achieved by sprinkling the heater’s hot stones with water (usually with addition essential oils), is about 20-40%. Differences: The heater is the same, but in dry saunas the stones should not sprinkled with water and in wet saunas the stones should be sprinkled with water. It is not certain who disseminated such a division. There are a lot of laymen in our country! In Finish steam saunas (not to be mistaken for the Turkish baths, which is made of ceramics and plastic and is filled with huge amount of steam) a dual-purpose Bi-O heater is assembled in the chamber. Those heaters have a built-in evaporator, which increases the moisture in the sauna up to 65%. Thus, usage of a heater from Bi-O series … / … Vapor allows to make three types of baths: |
